Welcome to CBRL

Cancer Biology Research Laboratory was established by Cairo University and Avon Foundation (USA). Avon foundation fund was directed to Cairo University on Dr. Mona Mostafa Mohamed's behalf to continue breast cancer research in Egypt in collaboration with Dr. Bonnie Sloane, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA .

  Research interest:

We hypothesize that integrated interplay between stromal cells and tumor cells within the tumor microenvironment stimulates expression of specific molecules that may contribute to breast cancer progression.           ..::More::..

Vision:
Our vision is to bring a multi-disciplinary team of investigators working together to characterize breast cancer in Egypt. Our goal is to understand the molecular underpinnings in order to be able to help change the course of this devastating disease. By disseminating our findings to the research community, we hope to facilitate and prioritize further research efforts to identify the molecular pathways impacting cancer pathobiology to expose new potential avenues for therapeutic intervention.
